Dublin

Welcome to Dublin

Upscale homes in California’s fastest-growing suburban city

Nestled within the scenic Amador Valley, the City of Dublin is home to one of the fastest-growing communities in California. Located at the intersection of Interstate 680 and 580, one of Dublin’s main draws is its convenience, with San Francisco only 35 miles to the west and San Jose 33 miles to the south. The burgeoning population of commuting professionals, families searching for high-quality educational opportunities, and individuals looking for a more suburban setting than the densely developed urban centers nearby has transformed Dublin into a thriving community with an equally lively dining and entertainment scene.

Initially owned by a Mexican soldier, the land on which Dublin stands was later sold to Irish settlers, hence the name. Although it remained a rural outpost for nearly a century after its purchase, Dublin experienced significant population and economic growth in the 1960s, eventually leading to the incorporation of an energetic, development-focused city that has become one of the best places to live in California.

What to Love

  • Proximity to San Jose and San Francisco
  • Excellent schools
  • Variety of residential properties available
  • Abundance of amenities, restaurants, and entertainment options

Local Lifestyle

As one of the best cities to live in California, Dublin has seen a rapid increase in its population as well as local retail and entertainment developments. Many Dublin residents commute to work in San Jose and San Francisco, taking full advantage of the highly accessible interstate highways along the city’s southern and western borders. Primarily home to professionals and high-net-worth families, most Dublin residents spend their leisure time at the city's many bars, restaurants, and public parks.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Dublin Boulevard is undoubtedly the city’s dining and entertainment hub. Lined with beautiful public parks, a popular shopping mall, and numerous restaurants and bars, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Sushi lovers will appreciate the sleek, spacious
Amakara, a full-service sushi bar serving traditional and fusion rolls, noodles, tempura, and other Japanese dishes.

For those who prefer elevated pub grub, no one does it better than Market Tavern. Located in the Hacienda Crossings Shopping Center, Market Tavern offers patrons a fully stocked bar, all-American cuisine, and an onsite market selling ready-made meals to take home. Hacienda Crossings is also home to many popular stores, including Five Guys, Old Navy, and Ulta. Another Dublin staple is Pacific Catch, where guests can enjoy freshly prepared seafood in a casual sports bar setting.

Things to Do

There’s always something entertaining to do in Dublin. Besides the easy day trips to nearby San Francisco or San Jose,
Emerald Glen Park is a hub of exciting activity. It hosts the annual Splatter festival, which celebrates Dublin’s diverse community and offers a globally inspired craft bazaar with live music and entertainment. Other Emerald Glen Park attractions include a farmers’ market, open-air movie nights, and a permanent art installation.

Thanks to the city’s Irish roots, Dublin is also home to a lively St. Patrick’s Day Festival, featuring Celtic rock and Irish folk music, more than 250 shopping booths, carnival rides, and an international food court.

Schools

The Dublin Unified School District is one of the top-rated in the region and offers Dublin residents access to some of California’s best schools. These include:
